Dr. Daman Samrao

Dr. Samrao has extensive hospital and teaching experience with an impressive academic background. Dr. Samrao graduated with honors with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She received her medical degree from the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Samrao completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Los Angeles County, University of Southern California Hospital in Los Angeles (2009-2013). She went on to complete a Fellowship in Breast, Gynecologic and Perinatal Pathology with the Magee Women’s Hospital of UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (2013-2014).

Over the years, Dr. Samrao has developed an array of research and teaching experiences. She has lectured on topics of microscopy, clinical pathology and pediatric glucose monitoring. Her major research interests include gynecological pathology, molecular pathology and liver pathology. Dr. Samrao is currently the Director of Biomedical Sciences at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she oversees curriculum development and evaluation, session development, objectives development at session, course, and program level, student support, faculty development, teaching, quality improvement and assurance.

Dr. Samrao currently holds full medical licensure in the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. She is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Samrao is a member of five medical professional associations, including the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Samrao has authored and coauthored 13 peer-reviewed medical manuscripts and book chapters. She has also authored a number of abstracts and academic presentations at scholarly meetings.
