We pride ourselves on being a network that loves to collaborate! We connect people, resources, in-kind donations and nonprofits to create the desired outcome without the need for monetary donations.

  • Event volunteers
  • Clothes donations

Affiliate SHERO Team

Nonprofit organizations are exploring how to work together in new and creative ways.

  • Demand for services has increased, along with competition for financial resources, making the drive towards efficiency increasingly important.
  • Duplication of services is viewed as wasteful.
  • Some types of restructuring are equated with cost-savings.
  • The social issues that nonprofits address are larger and more complex and call for scaled-up solutions.

Ways to Collaborate:

  • Co-locate or better utilize space
  • Purchase goods and / or services together
  • Combine marketing efforts
  • Development (fundraising) activities
  • Form a single point solution to deliver a program or provide administrative services
  • Share developing, offering, delivering projects, programs and services
  • Share staff, training, grant writing, media, administration, transportation and housing
  • Resulting in one integrated organization

Our annual Masquerade Gala is B.E.A S.H.E.R.O.'s flagship fundraising event.

We work collaboratively with these groups, and together we  focus on uplifting young women and girls and educating the community so that we can permanently eradicate the painful and pervasive cycle of sex trafficking and exploitation.

Since 1985, The Children’s Cabinet’s mission has been to keep children safe and families together by providing services and resources that address unmet needs through a unique and effective cooperative effort between the private sector and public agencies in Nevada.

By offering a wide range of community programs, the goal of the agency’s founders was to create a lasting public/private partnership to address the needs of children and their families in our community.

In the past year, The Children’s Cabinet helped more than 12,000 families. The Children’s Cabinet’s work extends past the immediate needs of youth and families to promote happy, healthy families. Offering more than 25 programs for children (birth to 24 years old), services include providing food and shelter, crisis intervention and case management, academic support, tutoring, job training and transitional living, parenting classes, child care subsidies, child care resource and referral assistance, and free family counseling.

The Children’s Cabinet provides a wide range of crisis intervention services, including Safe Place, a service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for youth experiencing violence, abuse or exploitation. Programs also include runaway and homeless youth services, substance abuse and gang intervention programming, work experience training, and independent living for former foster care youth.

As a non-profit agency, The Children’s Cabinet relies upon community support in order to offer programs and services at no charge to at-risk children and their families.
