“The Teen Board is comprised of young adults from the ages of 13-19. We strive to teach and learn new skills dedicated to aiding the community and providing leadership for change,” says Abigail, Teen Board Co-Director. “With our annual ‘I Am Radiant Fashion Show,’ we look forward to teaching teens life skills that will help build confidence, increase safety, and raise awareness to those around them who have experienced human trafficking. The smallest bit of awareness can be huge in helping someone avoid a potentially dangerous situation.”
Lisa Hayden, recently appointed, SHERO Operations Manager explained, “the I Am Radiant Fashion Show is such a valuable and unique program in that it is designed specifically for teens and offers them the opportunity to shine and work towards the best possible version of their future selves in a safe and empowering environment. Kids from all walks of life coming together to learn from each other, setting goals and learning how to reach those goals to create a beautiful life for themselves is truly an honor to be a part of, and it just gets bigger and better every year.”
“Macy’s is committed to giving back, sharing joy and being there for the community in times of need. This unprecedented time has brought challenges to many families in the communities Macy’s colleagues live and work, and Macy’s is proud to support the incredible work that the young women at the B.E.
