Ron has been named “Hometown Hero” of Plano, Texas and during his time on American Idol, Ron left fans, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan in awe of his voice. Ron escaped the Democratic Republic of Congo as a child, his story and moving performances have been a huge inspiration to people around the world. Ron said, “Music saved my life and provided an escape from life’s challenges.”
